Forgot to let you know the cost of the tournament this Satuday is $12.50 and must be paid for that day. Thanks. The last tournament will be on October 24th. I originally had us scheduled for Oct 10th, but the vollebally players will be involved in an event that day so we will not be going.

Just wanted to remind everyone about our practices. We are having to practice on Sundays from1:30-2:30 to try to work around all the school activities. I'm sorry I hate doing this on Sundays because it is my day with my family but we have to have the whole team to have an effective practice. Practices are not optional. If you cannot make a practice because you are sick please call. Being sick is the only excuse at this point. We have a couple more tournamnets left and I will not waste my time going to these if we can't have effective practices. We must have everyone at every practice.

Tournament Saturday!

Ready to play girls??? I am! We are signing up for the tournament at Four Seasons on Saturday. We don't have the socks yet. They were back ordered for a couple of weeks from one company so I cancelled it and ordered from another. Hopefully they will be here next week. Just wear what you have. The schedules will be available on the four seasons website Thursday night. www.fourseasonssport.com I will call everyone with the times to meet as soon as I get the schedule. I will see you all at practice Thursday at 6 pm!

Cookie Dough update

Just a little update on the cookie dough. We do not have an exact date yet to receive the cookie dough if you have anyone asking. They don't like to ship in July and August because of the high temperatures. I will let you know as soon as I find out. See you at practice tonight at 6.

Baxter Springs League??

Hello. The Mo-Kan team we played in the last game of the tournament has contacted me letting me know they are wanting to start a Fall league in Baxter Springs starting the week after Labor Day. I know it will be a little further than driving to Four Seasons but I think there will be a few benefits to this. He could not tell me an exact amount for the league yet but said it wouldn't be $300 like what we will be paying at Four Seasons. I'm all for cheaper! He also said he didn't think there was an entry fee into the gate and as those of you know who have played at Four Seasons it's $5 a head to get into there. Makes it a little tough for a lot to come watch and cheer on our players. He said the games would be on Saturdays, maybe every other, and we could play them round robin style or however everyone thought was best. I suggested later in the day as I know pee wee football is coming up and a lot of us will be busy with that on Saturday mornings. He didn't have a lot of definite answers but was just trying to see if he could get a few teams that were just starting out, to play each other for a better way of learning rather than going out there and getting slaughtered by teams that have been playing together for a long time. He did say the Seneca team we played first wouldn't be in the league. He wanted us and the mix matched team to join. I am not going to bad mouth Four Season's as I have never personally played there and I am grateful we have a place for the girls to play softball at for so many months out of the year, but I have heard a lot of negative from area coaches like not getting to take any food or drinks into the park. I told him I would let him know by Friday so if anyone definitely does NOT want to please let me know ASAP by calling or e-mailing me. We could still play in a few tournaments at Four Seasons. They have them until the end of October.
Don't forget practice on Thursday at 6:00 at Morse Park. If you have not paid for your uniform and socks ($21) I need that Thursday. Thanks guys!
